“AWACS Platinum” range advanced-technology microprocessor-controlled dual technology wireless detector, typically used for the external protection of balconies, verandas, covered sites, or for internal protection of industrial facilities, loading bays, stairwells, etc. Typical range 12 m, detection over 80° on a single plane with 9 sensitive zones, possibility of orienting the lens detection angle (bars from 1 to 5). The alarm condition occurs when both technologies are affected by the event. The lens sensitivity can be selected on 4 levels, for the IR section (DIP3 and DIP4) and with a trimmer for the MW section. Using the DIP switch settings the anti-masking feature of the IR section can be enabled (DIP5) as well as the impact and tamper feature (DIP6) and the sensitivity (DIP8), analysis time from the first event can be adjusted from 2 to 4 seconds (DIP7). An impact sensitivity test can be carried out and the installer can select infra-red double or single pulse as well as conduct a combined test of the two IR and MW sections (DIP1 and DIP2).

To limit battery consumption, after each transmission there is a 2 minute cut-off time; low battery signal at 2.6 V. IR sensitivity temperature compensation.

Should the sensor be wall mounted, one of the anchoring points (top right) acts as a removal tamper and the TAMPER transmission is sent.

Housing in impact and UV ray resistant material.

This type of detector can be installed at a height of 1 metre with AA 1.2 GI V2 type lenses or at 2.10 metres with WP1.2 GI 12 V1 lenses.
