AP16 communicates with security and surveillance companies
AP16 – the wireless alarm control panel featuring a newly designed dual-frequency receiver for unbeatable communication security with satellite devices – now also supports protocol for communication with security and surveillance companies.
This means you can now set parameters, via the settings menu, to report alarms, faults and other events directly to security and surveillance companies, transmitted over the GSM mobile network.
The alarm transmission protocol is the Ademco Contact ID standard, which uses dual tone signalling (DTMF) to send data.
Vimac would like to advise you to always check whether your security and surveillance company’s receivers are designed to receive transmissions in the above-mentioned format.
